Law firms Womble Bond Dickinson and BDB Pitmans have reportedly called off their discussions for a merger, according to Reuters.
According to the report, the global law firm Womble Bond Dickinson and the smaller United Kingdom based law firm BDB Pitmans have abandoned their talks of a merger after “extensive discussions”, the two firms said in a joint release.
The joint statement said that “after extensive discussions on the combined proposition, both firms have decided that the best path forward is to remain independent of each other”, adding that “Excellent relationships have been established and the firms will continue to work closely together in the future.”
The two firms announced that they were in early merger talks back in October 2022.
